Not all wounds are visible

Police officers can be exposed to more traumas in a single tour than most civilians experience in a lifetime.

Our Vision

Police officers can be exposed to more traumas in a single tour than most civilians experience in a lifetime. Left unattended, the tension and stress that result from being bombarded by these traumas can have devastating effects. This can lead to difficulties with personal relationships, alcoholism, suicidal thoughts, and unintentional overreactions on the job.

With our patented approach, we prioritize anonymity, confidentiality, and security, ensuring officers can safely seek the support they require. Our comprehensive plan aims to identify and address critical stress early on, preventing its escalation. Through our virtual platform, we provide sessions where law enforcement officers can rewind their experiences, find solace in camaraderie, and receive support from their peers. These sessions offer a safe space for officers to share their burdens, allowing them to process their emotions and experiences without fear of judgment. By fostering a sense of unity and understanding among fellow officers, we aim to alleviate the burdens they carry and promote healing and resilience.

We firmly believe that by addressing the emotional toll that policing can take, we can empower law enforcement personnel to lead healthier and more fulfilling lives, both personally and professionally. Our program is dedicated to making a lasting impact on the well-being of those who tirelessly serve and protect our communities.

Who are we?

Responders matter offering “Talk to Me Post Tour” Processing is led by retired NYPD police officer  Robyn Cannariato and retired NYPD Deputy Inspector  Christopher Hetherington, our law enforcement board and Board of Directors.

Robyn Cannariato and Christopher Hetherington established “Talk to Me Post Tour” in 2017 and, in accordance with the help of the law enforcement board and the special strength of Sheriff Timothy Whitcomb, we were able to provide this program to approximately 80 departments nationwide. The trained peer facilitators, with the assistance of Philip Schoppmann, allow officers to talk about what they would otherwise not be able to. The invisible wounds of Post Traumatic and cumulative stress are ameliorated in a patented, supportive, and anonymous environment. When requested, officers are provided with referrals to external resources providing them with options for support.

Heroes Helping Heroes

Dr. Robyn Cannariato says “The daily exposure accumulates over time. Talking about it and sharing it with others in a peer to peer bubble is changing lives. We are glad to help!”

Protect And Serve Those Who Protect and Serve

One tour can last a lifetime.

We stand as an unwavering force – an independent, not-for-profit group of retired police officers and police professionals, driven by commitment and concern for our fellow law enforcement community. We’ve come together with a shared vision – to bridge the gap in services available for those who selflessly protect and serve.

At the heart of the mission lies the Executive Board of TTMPT, which led to the development of a transformative program – proactive and preventive in nature – crafted to offer a guiding beacon to responders who might otherwise face adversity without the support of their peers. Our aim goes beyond merely offering assistance in moments of crisis; we seek to build a foundation for a lifetime of well-being. We carry the flame of empathy and the conviction that no responder should face their struggles alone.
